Usually not a fan of chrome, but it works very well with the wood trim.
I see you have the older version of the klimaanlage unit (fan symbol in display instead of AUTO). Have you checked if the old trick works on yours? (Press AUTO + Rear defogger and keep pressed and a menu should be entered, on which you can read out all the temperatures from the sensors and also have a digital tacho displayed).

hey Fab, not sure if you understood me correctlyin my last post, but you have the 6L reservoir. (and you need to clean it!)
And OH NO YOU DIDN'T! You cut up a nice Individual einsteigeleiste! very bad!!
Nice 3.2 rear axle. I need to find your "slachter".

yes ok... i meant that it is original from bmw... not an aftermarket-shit... it was ordered as an optional extra...like the M-door mirrors, the seats with the red lining... aso... it´s listed on the "equipment list"...
Ah yes. Sorry "Mein Deutsch ist nicht so gut".

Great color combo...Avus und Safraan, very sexy.

kohlefaser is original also serie ...
Die kohlefaser ist nicht serie.
It's part of the Individual trimpiece options like papel natur wood etc.
Since yours is an individual, it might have been spec'd with the carbon trimpieces. Although I don't see any individual ausstattung specs listed here.
But it looks great anyways. I fitted these pieces afterwards myself, except the ashtrays.

Yes. Look at the pics in this journal. Fab has the 6L version as well. It's huge though. Like you said, not neccessary. I think it was originally intended for "eastern europe" cars, just like the "bad road" suspension (higher).
I would even prefer to keep my 2.5L tank, but it has no connection for the SRA pump. Also my car has the later >97+ heated washer jets. These only have 1 connections (Intensive wash was discontinued pretty quickly, I believe 94/95) so no need for the extra connection. Mine also have a small connector, not the big old one as pictured here. I could use a t-split just in front on the jets for the intensive wash connection.
As I spoke with Fabian, the original setup is not the best, even though I am "OEM" too. I want separate controls for pumps and wipers. I have an E34 Touring wiper stalk, which has extra positions for the rear wiper/wash. This means the normal pump, SRA pump and Intensive pump can all be activated separately and unrealted to wiper or headlight switch position (normally the SRA jets only work when the headlights are on and every 5th time the window washer jets are activated).
Having said that. I like the SRA jets more for looks then for actual use. But it's nice to have everything working.

Hey Fabian,
Good stuff once again. You already showed me the pics, now I had some time to check them all out here.
PS: an electric rear sunblind has been done on an E36. Some dude on a US forum who is every more crazy in modding (his doorpanels have like 10 switches to control all lights and stuff, crazy) and also fitted an E34/E32 electric rear sunblind.
PS: the intensiv cleaning bottle is 0.9L. It's says on the container, just like the big one. I have that 6L tank as well, but it's almost too big for my taste. With the 2.5L you can still access the stuff behind/under it. I believe you also need different headlight motors (small ones) to clear it.
I might swap the 6L for a 5L one.
PS: do you now have a different ignition switch from the rest of the locks?
PS: like the black tacho rings. Almost bought such unit a long time ago, but the seller never contacted me. I'm not sure why you went through all that trouble of taking the rings out and drill your own piece to fit, while you could have just swapped the outer glass part. No mods needed at all.
It could be some of the warning light symbols are different, but you can just swap out that whole mask
Now you need to swap back to black interior door handles as well.

I'm not very impressed by them. You get only four more waterjets, this may be nice, but it is not worth the money....
Ah danke schön! That is good information. So it's 4 sprays per jet instead of 2? Shame. I thought these were new style jets that spray a "curtain" of water onto the windshield. In that case I will keep the money in my pocket.
Nice car btw. Good mods!

These "löcher" are from a BMW telefon.
-
The "eye" the metal rod goes through to open the door, on one model it's on top, on other it's on the bottom. That's why they have different partnumbers.
-
How do you like the "E60 Fächerdüsen"? Do they have the better spray pattern?

...
Also habe ich es heute kurzerhand ausgebaut um es an einen Reparaturdienst zu schicken und habe ein Klimaautomatikbedienteil eingebaut das ich noch im Keller hatte... leider eins ohne AUC. ...I could have fixed it for you for free. This is a well known issue. It's just a 10 cent capacitor that is dead after 10+ years. Just solder in a new one and it's new again.
We already talked per email. I'm happy you won the auction. It's the most rare option for the E36 and only comes for sale once in a lifetime, so this means you have to dig deep in your pockets.
I would love it in my car, but I have no space for it because of the carphone and everything. Are you going to move the hands-free microphone? The E46 had a similar version, almost identical, but with a little pocket next to the monitor. From what I recall, behind the "grill" left of the monitor, is just empty space. They could have made a small pocket there.
Now we really need some night pictures to see it in its full glory.
If you think the seller bid on his own auction, you can put in a claim at ebay. Although it will be hard to proof is it was done by another persion the seller knowns, from a different IP.

Great mod

What a discussion. I have a vert myself. Headrests are identical in shape and size.
On most cabrio's, the rear headrest have shrunken because of all the sunlight.
-
The rear ones are identical to the front ones on a cabrio. The only difference is that the rear ones don't tilt forwards.
You can easily retrofit them. Best is to get the kit from BMW.
You will have to make holes in your leather of the backrest, as that is where they are located.

Die amber light gefallen mir sehr gut! Classic E36 model, classic BBS mesh wheels. You can only have amber lights!
Good choice.
-
...Komischerweise stehen die orangenen Blinker bei mir auch einen cm übers Nierenblech?? Muss mich da mal ans Ausrichten machen....
Nicht "auch". I checked. Mine don't stick out.
Nice work on the amber indicators.
I like that Individual license plate. Did you rob a BMW dealer?
Now get the chrome kidneys

...Neue Felgen - Clubsport BBS RC041...
Yes these are very nice. I had them on my car before I sold them to get a set of RS's, because I wanted a deeper lip (tiefbed).
Do you have RC041 (7.5") all around or a "staggered set"? I had the RC042's in the rear (8.5").
